Start off you summer by giving a Personalized Summer Gift Buckets to friends or host a party and give them out as party gifts. At the end of the school year I like to host an end of the school year party for my daughter’s classmates. It is a great time for the kids to exchange numbers and for the parents to socialize and make a few play-dates for over the summer months. This year, we went with a Summer is Here theme and I made Personalized Summer Buckets for the kids to take home.
What I used for these fun buckets:
- Plastic Bucket or container of choice
- Acrylic Paint
- Paint Brush
- Goodies for the inside
I started off by finding inexpensive buckets so I head over to the 99 cents Store and found some that seemed perfect! Quick Tip: The bigger the bucket the more you need to fill it, so think about the size of the bucket you grab.
Then, I used a sharpie to write the name of the students in her class on the buckets. I used the last name of the family, if the family RSVP’d with siblings attending the party. I used acrylic paint to add little white dots to the lettering in the names for a little added character to the letters. Simple, but the personalized buckets were loved by everyone!
Next, I filled the buckets with things that remind us of summer, we used Hawaiian Leis, Bubbles, Sidewalk Chalk, and Fun Dip Candy. There are so many fun items you can add to the baskets…just head down the summer isles at your local store and you are sure to be inspired.
I also wanted to share this fun bucket that we made with an extra bucket we had, my daughter Becca wanted one with polka-dots, just goes to show you can really do anything on these buckets to personalize them to your liking.
