My Mother-in-Law and her friend were going to Las Vegas for a 50th Wedding Anniversary. A few of the friends decided to go in on a present. They wanted to make it special, and asked if I would help with the gift wrapping. The theme of the Wedding Anniversary was Elvis. The couple loves Elvis so much that they were going to renew their vows by an Elvis look alike. The Ladies got together, went shopping and picked up; a black and diamond rhinestone platter, two bottle of champagne, jack pot shot glass, dice sunglasses, a crystal dish, chocolates, and a basket. They also ordered champagne glasses from Graceland the read “Love Me Tender, 50th Years Celebration” The glasses also had the Guest of Honors name on them.
My job now was to make the basket look good. I thought it would be fun to customize the label on the champagne bottle, so I downloaded a picture of the Vegas sign from Google Images and edited it in iPiccy to read Curt and Nina Cheers to 50 Years. I added rhinestones to give the labels some bling. Then, I downloaded a picture of Elvis for the bottles too.
The basket was deep, so I placed the boxes that the glasses came in, inside the basket to help bring the gifts to the top of the basket so they could be seen easier. Then, I add some black and gold grass to cover the boxes. Next, I place all the gifts inside the basket.
Finally, I wrapped the basket in cellophane and tied it with a big bow.
By you arranging the items purchased nicely in the basket, wrapping it in cellophane, and adding a pretty bow you can make any basket look elegant. If you liked this basket, stop back by for a basket I did for a school fundraiser.
