You probably see cute pictures all over the internet with people holding signs up in their photos. Believe me, these signs are quick and fun to make. Signs are a great way to customize pictures for a party that has a Photo Booth. Adding little caption to a photo is fun and a great way to capture memories. They can be used for anything you can think of, party’s for fun sayings, birthdays with the guest of honors name and age, to place next to a baby at mile stone dates, the ideas are endless.
What you will need:
- Card Board or Matte Board
- Glue Stick
- Wooden Rod
- Print out of sign
The first thing I did was come up with a few sayings that I thought would be fun for the party. I created the signs in Microsoft Word using the insert shape callouts. Once, I designed my sign I printed them and cut out the sign. Then, I traced them on a piece of card board and a piece of matte board. Next, I glued the paper cut out and the card board or matted board together.
I then added the wooden rod. I discovered at this point that it was easier to use the cardboard for this. With the cardboard I was able to push the wooden rod into the cardboard because of the corrugated middle. The rod held nicely and did not move.
Now, with the matte board I had to tape the rod to the back of the matte board. The tape actually held up very well.
Here are the a few of the finished signs.
Having the signs at the party for the guest to use was so much fun. Every time, I turned around the signs were in someones hands. If you like these sighs, you might also like the DIY Photo Booth Props and DIY Masks I made for the party too!
