DIY Masks

My Sister-in-law just turned the Big 40, so my brother asked me to make some props for a photo booth he’s going to have at  her birthday party.  I have to say I was super excited about this request. The theme to the party is Black, White and Diamonds. The first thing I thought of making was a couple masks. I made several different types of props that I am excited to share. I will start with the MASKS!

The first thing I did was use a white mask.

Masks 3

I made two different masks each is a little different.  I added feathers and gems to booth masks.

I found a feather band that I glued to the back of the first mask.

Masks 4

On the second mask I glued individual feathers to the mask.

Masks 1

After gluing feathers to the mask I glued a gem to the top feather and added gems to the face of  the masks. I found a few ready to stick gems in the shapes of circles that I cut up to add around the corner of the eyes and glued individual gems under the eyes.

Mask 5

On the second mask, I added gems to the face of this mask too.  For a little more bling I glued two ribbons to the side of the mask and placed gems on the bottom of the ribbons.  I glued gems to the both sides of the ribbon so if the ribbon spins it will look finished on both sides.

Mask 6

A close up of the ribbon!

Masks 2

My finished master pieces.  (HaHaHa)

Mask 7

I loved the way these masks turned out. They would be perfect for a Mardi Gra Party or for a Masquerade Ball. I was able to make the mask for a minimal price and let my creativity run while! Stop back by to see more photo booth props!
