This project was so much fun to make. My little helpers had a blasted as they worked on their hand eye coordination and didn’t even know it. DIY Button Bracelets are easy to make and if your kids help they can use their imagination as they chose button color, string color and bead a color. I wasn’t sure if my 3 year old daughter would be able to thread the string through the buttons and beads but they did it with flying colors.
Supplies you will need:
The bracelets making processes was three simple steps.
Step 1, tread the yarn throw one of the four circles and back through another. Do not pull the thread all the way tight so we you have a little hoop.
Step 2, Pull the string through the hoop you created on the top of the button.
Step 3, Now pull the string tight and add a bead to the strings. Tie a knot at the end of the bead so that the bead will not fall off.
Once you are finished with the one side, repeat with the remaining two holes.
I have to share a little trick that I figured out while threading the the yarn through the button holes. If you cut the end straight and place it water it makes the yarn slip right through the holes.
My daughters worked really hard at making these bracelets. Becca was going to give them out at her Lalaloopsy Party that she was going to have.
Here are my twin three year olds concentrating as they worked on their bracelets.
A few pictures of our finished DIY Button Bracelets.
These will be great party favors for my daughters Lalaloopsy Party, or Sewing Parties, friendship bracelets and so much more.
